Relocation Opportunity (select candidates)

A few selected candidates will be invited to move to our Berlin or San Francisco office upon satisfactory performance, with a salary range of $60,000–$120,000 per year.

iOS Developer (Part-time)

Swift • SwiftUI • Performance

Remote • Part-time

Responsibilities

  • Build high-performance product features in Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Implement state management, offline-first sync, caching, and real-time components.
  • Integrate APIs, location systems, voice modules, and booking systems.
  • Design smooth, delightful UI that feels fast and reliable.

What success looks like

  • A stable, responsive iOS app with offline-first + real-time behavior.
  • Clean architecture for core app modules (auth, planning, booking, profile).
  • Fast iteration velocity without sacrificing quality.

Android Developer (Part-time)

Android • Performance • Product UI

Remote • Part-time

Responsibilities

  • Build high-performance product features for Android with a strong UX focus.
  • Implement state management, offline-first sync, caching, and real-time components.
  • Integrate APIs, location services, voice modules, and booking systems.
  • Improve app reliability, startup time, and smoothness.

What success looks like

  • A stable Android app with consistent behavior across devices.
  • Solid architecture patterns and clear module boundaries.
  • Excellent performance and crash-free sessions.

System Design Engineer (Part-time)

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Design core modules for search, routing (OpenTripPlanner/R5), booking, and user graph.
  • Create system architecture documents and API designs.
  • Work across backend, infrastructure, and AI teams to align interfaces and data contracts.

What success looks like

  • A clean system architecture that scales and is debuggable.
  • API-first approach with clear contracts and observability.
  • A roadmap of core services and data flows (search → plan → book → support).

Backend Developer (Part-time)

FastAPI • Databases • Performance

Remote • Part-time

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize large-scale travel datasets.
  • Build high-availability database layers with caching and replication.
  • Improve query performance for real-time workloads.
  • Develop robust APIs and internal services for planning, pricing, and booking.

What success looks like

  • Fast, reliable backend services with clean API boundaries.
  • Strong data models for travel entities and user state.
  • Low-latency query paths for real-time user experiences.

AI/ML Engineer (Part-time)

Agents • RAG • Knowledge Graphs

Remote • Part-time

Responsibilities

  • Build LLM-based agents and intelligence systems.
  • Develop RAG pipelines, knowledge graphs, and model fine-tuning workflows.
  • Deploy AI microservices at scale with monitoring and evaluation.
  • Work with multimodal models for text, vision, and speech.

What success looks like

  • A production-grade intelligence layer with measurable quality.
  • RAG pipelines with evaluation, caching, and safe fallbacks.
  • AI services that are reliable, observable, and cost-aware.

General Requirements

  • Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills (Python FastAPI familiarity is a plus).
  • Experience building production-level systems.
  • Familiarity with Git, cloud platforms, Docker, and CI/CD.
  • Ability to work fast, build zero-to-one, and ship clean modules.
  • Prior startup experience or complex product experience is a plus.
